About Me

I’m a barrister specialising in two primary areas of law – planning and criminal law.

My planning work is centred around advisory and Inquiry work in relation to substantive planning applications and appeals or enforcement-related matters.  It also includes matters relating to all forms of special planning controls, including:

  • Listed Buildings;
  • Tree Preservation Orders;
  • Advertising regulations;
  • Planning Contravention Notices (‘PCNs’); and
  • Breach of Condition Notices (‘BCNs’).

 In crime my work is focussed around three main areas:

  • Regulatory work, incorporating:
    • Planning prosecutions (e.g. on Enforcement Notices and Listed Buildings matters);
    • Animal welfare;
    • Trading standards (counterfeiting and Trade Marks offences);
    • Food safety; and
    • Health and Safety.
  • Proceeds of Crime, including:
    • Confiscation;
    • Restraint Orders; and
    • Cash seizure and forfeiture.
  • Fraud, including:
    • Corporate/banking fraud
    • Employee fraud;
    • Mortgage fraud; and
    • Benefit fraud.
